Virtual office FAQ's

Why should I choose a virtual office in London?

A virtual office in London gives you many of the benefits of an office, without the costly overheads you can find in the capital. Many businesses use virtual office addresses – from start-ups wanting to register their company at a prestigious address, to established businesses wanting a presence in London. At Argyll our services can support your needs, whatever type of business you run: mail handling, call answering, somewhere to meet or work when you need it.

Where are your London virtual offices?

Argyll has 30 prime central London locations, throughout zone 1, so you can base yourself close to your clients, industry or partners. All our workspaces are found in prestigious locations including Knightsbridge, the City, Mayfair, Victoria, so you can choose a base that creates the right first impression.

Which services do I need for my virtual office?

A business address allows you to use the address for all your company communications and stationery, and you can register your company at that address too. Mail handling means our team will keep all your business mail safe and forward it to you as frequently as you need. Telephone answering allows you to stay focussed on your business while our trained receptionists take all your calls and pass the messages to you. If you intend to visit the space regularly, you can also book a place to work – a seat in our business lounges, or hot desk in our coworking environments as frequently as you need. You can also book a meeting room as often as required, for more formal meetings or presentations.

Can I work at the location I choose, even if I am a virtual office customer?

Yes, you can come and work from the space you choose for your virtual office address. You can book lounge or desk access by the day, or add a coworking package to your virtual office.

Can I have a registered address by itself?

The Registered Address product must be paired with a Business Address and Mail Handling service.

What is the difference between a Business Address and a Registered Address?

A Business Address allows you to use the selected address on your website, company letterhead business cards etc., whereas a Registered Address is your company’s official registered address which you can update on Companies House.

If I choose a Registered Address, will Argyll update Companies House?

If your company is not officially registered yet, please call 0203 008 8888 or email enquiries@workargyll.com and the team will assist you.

Can I have my post emailed over instead of forwarded via the post?

Yes, this is an additional service we offer starting from £10 per week plus VAT. This includes post being scanned up to three time a week and is subject to the number of pages per letter.

Can I use the lounge spaces with a Virtual Office?

Access to our lounges is not included in the Virtual Office service. If you would like access to our portfolio of lounges in Central London, please enquire about our Coworking. You can contact the team on 0203 008 8888 or email enquiries@workargyll.com for more information

What Anti-Money Laundering (AML) documents do I need to provide?

We are required under the Money Laundering Regulations 2017 to undertake customer due diligence checks on our clients. We will send you a link from Remote Verify that will list all the documentation we require for your new virtual office. This will include things like:

· Due Diligence Form
· Certificate of incorporation
· Certified proof of registered address
· Certified proof of principal place of business
· Photo ID and proof of home address for Directors

When will I get my telephone number?

If you have chosen Telephone Answering, your telephone number will be issued after your Virtual Office has been activated.

Can I use my existing telephone number for the Telephone Answering service?

We will issue a new dedicated London telephone number for this service. Unfortunately, we are unable to use existing numbers.

Is there any meeting room usage included?

Meeting room bookings are in addition to a Virtual office. As a Virtual Office customer, you will be able to benefit from preferential rates across all our meeting rooms.

How do I make a payment?

You will receive a proforma invoice which can be paid via card or bank transfer. Payments thereafter will be taken via direct debit.

How do I choose the right location for my virtual office?

A business address allows you to use the address for all your company communications and stationery, and you can register your company at that address too. Mail handling means our team will keep all your business mail safe and forward it to you as frequently as you need. Telephone answering allows you to stay focussed on your business while our trained receptionists take all your calls and pass the messages to you. If you intend to visit the space regularly, you can also book a place to work – a seat in our business lounges, or hot desk in our coworking environments as frequently as you need. You can also book a meeting room as often as required, for more formal meetings or presentations.

How much does a virtual office in London cost?

Prices vary depending on the services and support you need for your business, and the location you choose. Our virtual offices in London start at £100 + VAT pcm.

Can I host meetings at my London virtual office?
