Now more than ever, we need to support our London community. The pandemic created even greater challenges for those who live on our streets. Temporary measures put in place to help them during this time proved that having a safe place to stay can help them find their feet.
The warmest of welcomes
Like our chosen charity, The Connection at St Martin-In-The-Fields, the Argyll team knows the difference a warm and supportive welcome can make to guests. So this winter we’re supporting The Bridge – their initiative that provides supportive, short-term accommodation while people find a permanent home.
A bundle of good will
The Bridge’s self-contained units build independence while providing wrap-around care. But those who arrive there have limited clothes and belongings. So imagine the impact of finding a cosy pair of slippers or fluffy dressing gown when they walk into their new room.
That’s why we’re inviting our team and customers to donate new and second-hand items, so we can create comfort and wellbeing packages for The Bridge’s newest residents.
The big winter give needs you
Take a look at the lists below to see the items we need. We’ll have collection points at all our reception areas, so please hand any items you wish to donate to a member of our team.
The Bridge has high standards for its guests - just as we have for ours. If you’re giving second-hand items, please only donate something you’d be happy to receive yourself.
Any donation, big or small, will make a difference.
£5.00 Could cover the costs of a phone call from a member of The Connection team, to make sure someone doesn’t feel alone.
£10.00 Could ensure people staying in their interim hotel project receive three delicious meals a day.
£25.00 Could help welcome someone into their centre with a warm welcome, access to showers and laundry, food and healthcare.
The funds we raise for The Connection will enable them to continue to run their services for homeless people and support them out of homelessness.
