Supporting The Connection at St.Martin-in-the-Fields

We’ve always been a great supporter of the London communities we work alongside, and we’re proud to partner with The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields. We believe homelessness impacts whole communities – and needs a whole community approach to solve it.

The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields is a homeless charity in central London, supporting thousands of people every year to move away from, and stay off, the streets of London. They do this by tackling the underlying causes of rough sleeping as well as offering practical help. They provide immediate practical relief with accommodation, hot meals, laundry and showers, and also give tailored specialist advice, support and training so that people can make longer-term changes and recover from homelessness.

We offer our team 1 fully paid volunteering day per year and arrange opportunities for them to lend a hand at The Connection, however, they can choose to support any charity of their choosing in the wider community.

Dec 2024

We ended the year on a charitable high by sprinting or strolling through London to raise money for the Connection, to support those sleeping rough on our capital’s streets during a challenging time of year.

March 2024

Argyll hosted their Easter themed Annual Team Quiz. Each round featured questions on The Connection and the work they’re doing to tackle homelessness in the capital. Argyll made donations for each right answer during those rounds, helping to raise funds for our charity partner.

Dec 2023

In December 2023, Argyll team members completed their annual Santa Dash by running or walking 5k or 10k in festive outfits to raise money for The Connection.

In March 2023, Argyll hosted their annual Team Quiz to raise funds and awareness about homelessness in London.

In 2023, Argyll team members completed 168 volunteering hours at The Connection, serving breakfast and lunch to members at their centre in central London.

Dec 2022

In December 2022, Argyll organised ‘The Big Winter Give’ collecting warm clothing for customers at The Bridge – a short-term accommodation set up by The Connection at St Martin-in-the-Fields. The Bridge provided supportive, wrap-around care for the homeless while they searched for a permanent home. The initiative enabled us to donate 24 comfort packages to the men and women at The Bridge before Christmas.

Supporting the wider community

November 2024

We supported The Connection’s women only accommodation, St. Martin’s House by donating and delivering practical items as part of our Fresh Start Fundraiser. Many women arrive at St Martin’s House with very few belongings so a hamper with essential items can help make all the difference.

June 2024

In May 2024, we were delighted once again to support the Metro charity by donating furniture and electrical goods to equip a vital space in South London. This space is crucial for hosting workshops, counselling sessions, and various events.

Oct 2023

In October 2023, Argyll donated surplus furniture, fittings and appliances to METRO charity to support them in the creation of their new Equality Community Hub in Lambeth.

Feb 2023

In February 2023, Argyll donated stationary and supplies to IRMO, who support the Latin American community and other Spanish and Portuguese speakers seeking mentoring and educational activities. Over 4,200 people benefit from their services and activities every year, including 222 children and young people.
