We are pleased to publish Argyll’s 2025 ESG Impact Report, sharing the progress we have made towards creating a more sustainable, responsible and resilient business.
For us, 2025 was about turning commitments into everyday action. Sustainability is increasingly influencing how we operate our buildings, approach refurbishment projects, support our team members, work with our partners and contribute to the communities around us.
From reducing our carbon footprint to investing in our team and creating new opportunities within the property industry, this year’s report captures the practical steps we have taken, as well as the areas where there is more work to do.
Reducing our environmental impact
As custodians of some of London’s most distinctive buildings, we have a responsibility to preserve their character while continually improving how sustainably they operate.
Key environmental highlights from 2025 include:
- Reducing our carbon footprint by 51% across Scope 1, 2 and 3 emissions compared with our 2023 base year.
- Putting circular economy principles into practice, including reusing and refurbishing 30% of furniture at Gresham Street.
- Redistributing nearly 3,000 items through Globechain, helping extend the life of furniture and equipment that was no longer required within our portfolio.
- Expanding Carbon Literacy across Argyll, with more than 60 team members completing training during the year.
Supporting our team and communities
Creating positive social impact means looking at how we support our own team members, while also using our position to create opportunities and contribute to the communities around us.
Our social highlights include:
- Strengthening our family-friendly policies and wellbeing support, including enhanced support around becoming a parent and recognition as a Tommy’s Pregnancy and Parenting at Work Champion.
- Continuing our partnership with the 10,000 Interns Foundation, welcoming two interns into our Marketing and Customer Service teams and helping create pathways into the property industry.
- Building on our partnership with The Connection, supporting its work with people experiencing homelessness in London through financial and in-kind support.
- Continuing our focus on diversity and inclusion, from mandatory EDI training to initiatives designed to foster a more supportive and inclusive workplace.
Strengthening accountability and transparency
Good governance underpins our ESG strategy, helping ensure our commitments translate into meaningful decisions and measurable progress.
During 2025, we:
- Continued to embed ESG at Board level, with quarterly updates and ESG considerations forming part of Board-level decision-making.
- Integrated SKA Gold standards into our refurbishment and acquisition considerations and updated our procurement processes.
- Reported our gender pay gap, with a median gap of 9.5%, below UK and industry benchmarks.
- Continued to report transparently on our progress, including where objectives remain in progress and where we need to do more.
Looking ahead to 2026
The progress made in 2025 gives us a strong foundation for the next stage of our ESG strategy.
Our priorities include implementing our Net Zero Routemap, progressing plans for SKA Gold certification at our newly acquired Chancery Lane building and working towards Silver Carbon Literate Organisation accreditation.
We will also continue investing in our team and communities, including welcoming four further interns, strengthening health and wellbeing support and building on our partnership with The Connection.
There is much more behind each of these highlights. Our full 2025 ESG Impact Report explores the progress we have made, the challenges we continue to address and the commitments that will guide our next steps.
